House Rules

- The maximum number of people allowed to stay in the house is 10.

- Guests must notify us of any disputes or complaints from neighbors as soon as practicable.

- The cleaning covers the common areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen however we expect dishes to be washed before you leave. Also please put all the used linens in a pile downstairs by the laundry room. The cleaning fee is a minimum and additional charges may apply if the cleaning crew needs to stay longer than usual after your stay.

- Put all the trash in the outside bear box (do not leave any trash in the house). Trash goes into white trash bags and then into the trash can in the bear box and recycle goes into blue bags and then next to the trash can in the bear box.

- All damages and breakages must be reported to us as soon as possible. Failure to report them will likely result in a penalty deduction from the deposit. To avoid damages and breakages, no furniture is to be moved from one room to another without prior agreement.

- Remove shoes in the entryway.

- No smoking in the house or on the decks. $500 fee if you violate this rule. If you choose to smoke outside please collect your butts and ash safely to prevent fire risk.

- No pets in the house unless approved verbally by Brett or Laura. $500 fee if you violate this rule. - No house parties.

- No loud noises or loud music especially after sunset. Tahoe Donner has strict rules about noise levels and they will stop by or call us with complaints.

- No street parking. You must use the driveway to park your cars. You can fit 3-4 cars in total.

- Do not play with, change, or unplug the security system. It will result in us getting a notification immediately.

- No skis, snowboard, sleds, bikes, snowshoes, or other gear in the house. Please store all your gear on the decks.

- Anytime Guests leave the property, it is their responsibility to ensure all windows and doors are closed and locked to maintain security. Ensure you check sliding door, front door, and all windows.

- Guests must switch off lights and electronics such as televisions when not in use to promote energy saving.

- Breach of any of these House Rules is a breach of the Terms and Conditions of occupancy as per the Rental Agreement.

The Owner and Manager reserve the right to terminate permission to occupy and to evict from the property any Guests or Visitors who refuse to follow these House Rules or who cause a nuisance to neighbors or other residents of the community.

In the event there are violations of these rules which result in a penalty, or if there are additional charges that apply per the terms of the Rental Agreement or these House Rules, we will use your deposit in order to cover said charges. If the charges exceed your deposit amount we will provide notice to you and then charge your credit card on file. Our Town of Truckee Short Term Rental Certification Number (RCN) is TBD.
